Terri Geissinger is a Bodie area Historian, Guide and Chautauquan. A long time resident who lives in Bodie and Smith Valley, she is dedicated to preserving stories of the pioneer families, miners, ranchers and teamsters. Leading the Bodie Area Resident Research Project, she has captured countless stories of early days through recorded interviews. Bringing history to life as a Chautauquan provides a unique opportunity to educate as well as entertain in classrooms and special events. Tours of Bodie, Aurora and Mono Basin come alive through stories of the past. Terri is an effective public speaker and advocate for preserving local heritage.
